West Coast Welding
West Coast Welding Oy is a subcontractor and konsulting one man company owned by Lauri Lauste.
I’ll make engineering of paper machine rolls for companies serving paper industry as well as working daily as subcontractor in manufacturing of steel tubes at 3000 ton bending machine. I have started also agency business for paper industry.
I have a background in Valmet 1987-2010, f.ex. as roll technologist 1987-2000 and then as sales manager for roll service in Sweden 2000-2003. I was graduated as M.Sc from University of Oulu and specialized in paper machines.
I was as sales manager in Mesera and Richter 2010-2014 when I was already that time representing MirrorMax calander roll covers of Yamauchi.

Manufacturing transferred from Karhula to Hasselt
West Coast Welding Oy (WCW) was found by Pertti Kärkkäinen and maintenance work as subcontractor started. There were 2 workers in addition of owner already at the beginning and Kuusakoski Oy was as an annual contract customer. 2013-2014 3 persons more were recruit and also hired workers were used occationally.
WCW business was purchased by Lauri Lauste. Personnel were moved to new company as old workers and also the name of the company were preserved. Tax number changed and is FI27571145.
As mentioned Kuusakoski was the first customer where 2 workers were working daily. One worker were doing mainly hydraulic assemblies for Satatekniikka Oy in Pori and in assembly sites, occasionally couple of workers for Norils Nickel in Harjavalta, welding of transport supports for Wärtsilä motors and ABB generators in Port of Pori, as well as maintenance work for MetsäWood saw mill in Merikarvia under weekends.
Business environment were changed and WCW came as a one man company and the company moved from Pori to Kokkola.
